We all get turned around sometimes. The road back to your life does not have to be complicated, and you do not have to go it alone. Sometimes, it takes a village–or a Deej.

After her mother was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2018, Deej sought help outside the healthcare system. During her exploration, Deej discovered the power of holistic healing. Stopping the process of law school applications to attend an herbal academy, Deej helped transform the quality of her mother's life. Extending her mother's life with the assistance of sea moss and herbal teas. During this time, Deej developed a zeal for helping others change their lives naturally. With new knowledge, and the support of her friends, Deej launched 'Deej with the Tea' in 2019.

The name is inspired by her business model of not keeping things to herself. As her friends say, "she is always spilling some tea on something she found out."
